My rates are calculated to include not only lesson contact hour(s) but also the time spent preparing bespoke lesson plans, which can be as quick as 30 min or as long as 2+ hours per lesson, depending on the lesson content.

The base rate of $65/hr is for supplemental tuition sessions, specifically for students who are seeking support in their school-based French studies. This accounts for my preparation time and our in-person lesson time.

Students who engage my tuition services as their primary source of French tuition will be charged at the "primary tuition" rate of $80/hr. These types of lessons involve much more preparation on my part, due to having to create/research the entire curriculum to suit individual student's interests and needs. Unlike the supplemental tuition, primary tuition also often requires that I provide students with learning resources such as worksheets, reading and multimedia material, or other exercises, which take time to create and/or find.
