Lis has been consistently empathetic and supportive over the nine years I've been learning with her. Currently helping me prepare for Dip ABRSM, she shares from her wealth of experience of playing, teaching and musical research, helping so much with tone, style/performance, practical techniques and more. I have been learning the flute for just over 3 years with Lis. I am a music teacher myself so it has been great to compare notes! With Lis I have progressed very fast, achieving grade 5 in 2 years, and covering lots of other repertoire too. Lis encourages group work, duets and trios etc, to make it more fun.

I have had lessons with Lis for three years now. I had some previous experience on the flute but Lis has been instrumental in improving my tone, technique, and musical performance. She was aware I had confidence issues and has provided opportunities to build up gradually in a comfortable manner to the point where I have taken part in small concerts and achieved distinctions in my grade 6, 7 and 8 exams.
