About Ambereen

I've worked for public charter schools and private tutoring companies for the past 12 years, and have lots of diverse experiences working with learners of all ages and capabilities. I love helping my students gain confidence and self-dependence, and cater my instruction to the needs and interests of each individual student.

About Me: Why I Make The Best Tutor/Teacher

I've been tutoring since I was 16 years old and have worked for some prominent tutoring companies (Kumon Learning, A.P.C, Suprex Learning, C2 Education Center, FrogTutoring, GradePotential) and have my bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies (Early Childhood to 6th grade certification). I have over 10 years of experience teaching, tutoring and working in the field of K-12 education. My passion is helping students gain better study skills, get more organized with their learning, and presenting fun, hands-on strategies to supplement each student's academic needs. I'm also the resource QUEEN and can supply many online academic resources, as well as physical books and learning tools that will aid in studying and learning. I'm always prepared with books, resources, school supplies and almost anything one would need for learning and tutoring sessions.

I love helping my students succeed in whatever they need assistance in, but also help identify skills/concepts that need to be learned and improved on. Seeing my students progress, gain better self-esteem, confidence and independence makes me proud, and it's the reason I truly love teaching/tutoring.

My Education Background

I went through the College of Education program for Early Childhood to middle school instruction and curriculum program, and graduated in 2015 with my bachelor's in science in Interdisciplinary Studies. In my senior year, I was blessed to get selected and hired in the school I was doing my student teaching internship, during the course of my student-teaching. It was a well rounded experience as I played many roles working with K-8 students in small intervention groups, teaching kinder, 3rd and 5th grade, and working as the main teacher's aid for K-6. In my intervention groups, I pulled out at-risk students in small groups to focus on a few standards or assignments.

I've worked as an Educational Therapist/Diagnostician helping students with ADHD, Anxiety, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Autism. Educational therapy is a program through NILD (National Institute of Learning Development).

I use a multi-sensory approach to teaching, using technology, hands-on materials and workbooks, and real-life objects to facilitate and supplement learning. I teach my students how to be scavengers of knowledge, guiding them to search and inquire using digital resources as well as hands-on books and texts.
