About Poorvaa
I’m an aspiring archaeologist, deeply passionate about history and heritage since childhood. I completed my graduation in Ancient Indian History, Culture, and Archaeology from Banaras Hindu University, and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Paleography, Epigraphy, and Numismatics at the Indian Institute of Heritage. I have hands-on experience in stone tool documentation, post-excavation analysis, and 3D photogrammetry modeling. I’ve also written articles and documented heritage sites to share my research and experiences. I believe archaeology is much more than just digging grounds — it’s a way of connecting the past with the present and future. Through my classes, I aim to make students aware of the diverse opportunities in this field and inspire them to see how archaeology helps us understand who we are and where we come from.

In my class, we’ll go beyond textbooks to explore how to study the past through primary sources — inscriptions, coins, sites, and artifacts. Learning will be interactive and practical, with assignments that build real analytical skills. I also guide interested students in research writing and creative ways of understanding our history and culture. The aim is to make the study of India’s past both engaging and meaningful.
