About Merna

My name is Merna, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration. While my academic path led me into healthcare, my true passion has always been teaching and helping others learn. I have experience working as a tutor and in an after-school care program, where I supported students in their learning and development. I also studied Elementary Education before switching my major in my senior year, which gave me valuable skills in teaching methods, patience, and communication. I am originally from Iraq, and Arabic is my native language. Because I also learned English as a second language at the age of 15, I truly understand the challenges students face when trying to learn a new language. This experience allows me to connect with learners on a personal level and guide them with empathy and encouragement. My goal is to make learning Arabic practical, clear, and confidence-building, so my students not only improve their language skills but also feel comfortable using them in everyday life.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to make learning Arabic simple, clear, and enjoyable. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to improve your skills, I create a supportive environment where you can learn at your own pace.

I focus on practical communication, helping students build skills in:

• Cultural understanding to connect language with real-life use

As a native Arabic speaker with a background in elementary education, I use step-by-step methods that are patient and encouraging. I understand that Arabic can feel challenging, so I break it down into manageable lessons that make progress motivating and fun.

My goal is to help you gain confidence in speaking and understanding Arabic, while also appreciating the beauty of the language and culture.
