About Robert

Post college student with an A* in A-Level Maths (98%), sat Further Maths (FP1 & FP2), Physics, and Computer Science with all predicted A*. Also sat both Cambridge STEP II and III exams. Awarded golds in BPhO physics challenges and achieved full marks in the OCR Computer Science coursework. I really enjoy helping others with the subjects I love and want to help students build confidence and better understand the foundations of the topics they are learning.

About the lesson

Lessons can be 1 to 3 hours long and can be focused on specific topics, question types, exam papers, or a particular assignment. With many STEM exams having an increasing emphasis on problem solving, I can teach you how to confidently approach the unknown by breaking tough problems down into a series of more manageable steps. As part of our lessons, as well as covering content you wish to practise, I can also help you hone your exam and revision technique. For example: - Where to find and how to effectively use exam question practice - How to understand what examiners are looking for in the mark scheme - How to identify and earn easier marks in tough questions I can provide comprehensive flashcards I carefully created from the exam board specifications as well as teaching you how to use Anki to create your own set of digital flashcards tailored to your specific needs. I have a graphics tablet so can offer online lessons with a digital whiteboard as well as in-person lessons. I am also available to tutor for the Cambridge STEP Maths admissions assessments. I have completed all of the STEP papers from 2011 onwards so have a comprehensive understanding of the question style.
