About Margaret
Most students think that adding more detail creates a better design, but often it only creates more noise. I teach you to subtract the unnecessary to reveal the core concept. We utilise Revit and hand sketching to explore how your ideas occupy physical space. I will assign a design brief after every class so you can immediately apply the critique we have discussed.
It is vital that you treat every exercise as a prototype for your future professional work. My sessions are centred on direct feedback and iterative refinement of your floor plans. Drawing from my 13 years of experience, I support design students, A-level candidates, and university applicants in sharpening their technical and creative output. My background in architecture at the Bartlett and computer science at UCL allows me to guide you through complex floor planning and material selection. I have taught 409 students, helping them manage the weight of their portfolios and the complexity of their site analysis.
