About Elizabeth
I have worked as a tutor full time as of January 2021, and have a year's experience prior to this. I currently work with a range of students from KS3 to A-level, with varying strengths and abilities. I have independently developed and delivered a 15 hour MAT preparation course, and also work with those preparing for Common Entrance tests for schools.
Prior to becoming a maths tutor, I worked for several years at a software company, which involved training and mentoring new joiners at the company.

After finishing my A-levels, including A*s in maths and further maths, I went on to study maths at Oxford University and graduated in 2017 with a masters degree. I was lucky to be motivated by some wonderful teachers during my studies, and find tutoring really rewarding. Alongside helping students gain confidence and attain the best results possible, I am passionate about getting young people to enjoy maths and to experience the excitement and creativity that comes from problem solving.
I understand that everyone learns differently, and the importance of communication, patience and sensitivity to determine each individual child’s needs.

Details
I will offer an initial free session of 30 minutes where we can have a chat to discuss what your goals are and if there are any areas where you particularly struggle and would specifically like us to work on. Normal lessons will be 60 minutes.
