About Talia

My lessons are designed for complete beginners who want to learn Spanish in a relaxed and friendly way. We’ll focus on building a strong foundation in speaking, listening, pronunciation, and basic vocabulary, rather than overwhelming you with grammar rules from the start.

Each lesson feels more like a supportive conversation than a traditional class. We’ll practise useful phrases and expressions you can actually use in real life, and I’ll gently correct you and explain things as we go. I’m happy to go at your pace and repeat things as many times as you need.

Because I’ve learnt languages myself, I understand how valuable it is to have someone patient who creates a safe space to practise. I also like recommending simple resources (songs, short videos, or beginner materials) so you can continue learning between lessons in an enjoyable way.

Lessons are completely tailored to your goals and interests, whether you want to prepare for a trip, connect with Spanish-speaking family, or just start learning something new. Everything is flexible and held online.

About the lesson

Hello! I’m a native English speaker from Oxford, currently studying English Literature and Language at the University of Oxford. I grew up between England, South America, and Spain, so I’ve been bilingual in English and Spanish since I was young.

I really enjoy helping beginners take their first steps in Spanish. Having taught myself French and currently learning Albanian, I understand how it feels to start from scratch and how important it is to have a patient, encouraging teacher. I know that learning a new language can feel overwhelming at the beginning, so I focus on creating a relaxed and supportive space where you can build confidence without pressure.

I’m a good listener and I adapt to each student’s pace. Whether you want to learn Spanish for travel, work, family, or just for fun, I’ll help you develop practical language skills in a way that feels natural and manageable.
