About Danius Jean
Hi! I’m Danius, an Oxford-trained data scientist with a Master’s in Statistics and over five years’ experience helping students and professionals make sense of data.
I specialise in data analysis for academic projects, and have supported dozens of undergraduate and Master’s students with their dissertations and coursework. Whether you're using SPSS, R, Python, SAS or Excel, I can help you choose the right statistical tests, run your analysis correctly, and interpret the results with confidence.
I regularly help with:
- ANOVA (one-way, two-way, repeated measures)
- t-tests (independent, paired)
- Regression (linear, logistic)
- Chi-square tests
- Correlation (Pearson, Spearman)
- Non-parametric tests (Mann–Whitney, Kruskal–Wallis, Wilcoxon, etc.)
- Checking assumptions, understanding p-values, effect sizes, and writing up results
My lessons are practical and tailored to your goals — whether that’s understanding your output, improving your stats write-up, or getting your code to run. I aim to explain concepts clearly, without jargon, and I genuinely enjoy seeing students grow in confidence with data.

I offer data analysis lessons tailored to your needs — whether you're a complete beginner or looking to deepen your skills. My focus is on making sure you truly understand the logic behind the analysis, not just memorise steps. I explain concepts clearly and intuitively, using real-world examples from my experience in finance and pharma.
I can work with you in two ways:
1) We go through the analysis together, step by step, so you build confidence in applying the methods yourself
2) If time is limited, I can run the analysis for you (e.g. in SPSS, R, or Python) and then walk you through the results so you fully understand what they mean and how to report them.
Whether you're doing a dissertation, preparing for an exam, or working on a project at work, the lessons are interactive, supportive, and always focused on helping you grasp what’s really going on under the hood of the analysis.
