About Kiswa

Hi! I’m an Oxford Law Offer Holder with a passion for helping students reach their potential in Economics.

I faced homelessness throughout my year 12, so I know how stressful it can be to manage your studies alongside your personal life.

At the beginning of Year 12, I was working at a C grade, so I understand how discouraging the subject can feel when you’re struggling. Through changing my approach to revision and improving my exam technique, I worked my way up to an A* standard and am now predicted an A*. Along the way, I achieved 100% on economics essays, which gave me a strong understanding of what examiners are looking for.

Because I’ve experienced both ends of the journey, I know that improving isn’t about being naturally good at economics. It’s about understanding the content, developing the right exam technique and building confidence over time. My aim is to help students achieve the same progress by sharing the methods that genuinely worked for me.

I enjoy creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. Every student is different, so I’ll adapt my lessons to suit your goals and help you become a more confident economics student.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to each student because everyone learns differently. We’ll start by identifying the topics you find most challenging and then work through them at a pace that suits you. My aim is not just to help you understand the content, but to show you how to apply it in exams.

Having improved from a C to an A* standard myself, I understand how frustrating economics can feel when things don’t click. I’ll explain difficult concepts in a simple way and make sure you fully understand them before moving on. If there’s a topic you’re struggling with, we’ll go over it as many times as you need until you’re confident.

We’ll also spend time developing your essay technique, as this is where many students lose marks. I’ll show you how to structure answers clearly, develop strong analysis, and write evaluation that directly answers the question. Having achieved 100% on economics essays, I’ll explain the approach I used and how you can apply it to your own writing.

Throughout our lessons, we’ll practise exam questions and go through mark schemes together so you understand exactly what examiners are looking for. I’ll give detailed feedback on your work and explain how you can improve, so you leave each lesson knowing what to focus on next.

In some cases, we will assign homework if extra work is needed.
