About Karishma
Hi there!
I recently graduated from the University of Oxford with a 2:1 in Jurisprudence (Law). I have since completed an eight month internship in the legal team of the United Nations and I am due to start a training contract with a 'Magic Circle' law firm next year.
I have been tutoring young adults for the last seven years, supporting them with all their A-Level, LNAT and UCAS needs. I also tutor at the undergraduate level:
- Public law (Admin/Constitutional)
- Jurisprudence
- Human Rights Law
- Public International Law and International Commercial Arbitration
- Tort
- EU Law
- Criminal
Whilst at Oxford, I volunteered at a summer school where I mentored 18 students, 8 of whom went on to achieve offers to study Law at Oxford.
I understand how daunting exams and university admissions can be and I am here to reassure and encourage you along the way. I find tutoring deeply rewarding and find great joy in seeing students achieve their dream grades and university places!
I hope to create a rapport with all students and guide them through this crucial period as best I can! I have a particular focus on helping students understand case law, articles and legal commentary so they can apply it effectively during exams.

My aim to make sure you better understand the significance of crucial case law and various arguments made by academics in legal commentary. I believe strongly in building a rapport with students, identifying their weak points and finding innovative ways to make lessons more engaging.
Once you have this understanding, I endeavour to help you plan essays with a cogent argument throughout and a clear and easy to follow structure. I believe simplicity is key and I always endeavour to explain complicated legal points in the most understandable way.
I also draw on my personal experiences, having navigated the Oxbridge admissions process and received a score of 31 on the LNAT. I also achieved a high 2:1 at undergraduate level and a first in Public Law, Jurisprudence and International Law.

Perfect! Helped me get into university, amazing lessons and very affective advice and assistance.
Perfect! Karishma has been excellent in helping me with my LNAT preparation. She has taught me the best way of approaching each question, showing me the subtle differences between different question types and the best strategies to answer them. Her feedback on my essays has also been amazing, and through discussing them she has helped me in formulating different arguments, and generally boosted my confidence! Karishma's lessons have really been invaluable!
Perfect! Fantastic tutor! Very knowledgeable and explains difficult material in a very simple and understandable way! Helped me out last minute with public law assignment which I am super grateful for, but also discussed and explained different topics of public law related to the assessment. Thank you Karishma!

Karishma helped me so much with Oxford law interview preparations. She explained legal concepts clearly and I always learnt a lot from her. The lessons were stimulating and she challenged me to think in a more creative way. I enjoyed every lesson with her and would definitely recommend her to other people :)
I had lessons with Karishma on how to prepare for my LNAT and writing a good personal statement. I found her to be very personable and helpful. Thanks to her I have written a very good personal statement. She is very knowledgeable and has taught me a wide range of skills to answer the very difficult LNAT questions.
