About Imogen

I am an SEN teaching assistant who has been giving private German, English and Maths lessons since 2017, ranging from ages 10 to 21. I have worked with students both online and in the classroom, and I have completed over 600 hours of private tuition. My students consistently receive predicted grades of 8 and 9 (GCSE) or A/A* (A Level), and they have secured offers to study German at Oxford and other competitive universities.

About the lesson

In my lessons, I both support and stretch my students. We approach each topic area gently and go through the points carefully, before my students attempt practice questions to consolidate the learning. Mistakes are encouraged in my lessons, as this is the best way to learn, and I will make sure that each student's individual needs and learning styles are accommodated for. I only plan one lesson ahead, which means I can stay very flexible and cater to specific requests where necessary.

Details

For university level German, the fee is £25/hour. For travel outside of zone 3, I add £5 to the fee.
To protect my time, I require 50% of the fee if you cancel within 24 hours for a non-emergency reason, and 100% if you cancel within 3 hours.
