About Sidal

I am a recent graduate of Law from the University of Oxford, and I am available to offer effective and tailored tutoring. My subjects of focus are English, History, and Economics. My particular focus is English Literature (GCSE, Pre-U and A-Level), and Oxbridge Admissions for humanities. I graduated with a law degree at a top academic institution, achieved the highest results in my school for GCSEs (3x grade 9s and 8xA*), and finished with D1(A**), A* and A grades at A Level. I am therefore experienced in GCSE, A Level and Cambridge Pre-U examinations and grading systems. I look forward to meeting you! About the lesson

Having gone through the process recently myself, and having tutored and mentored for Oxbridge admissions, I understand the expectations of examiners and the curriculum, which will allow me to best support the student to improve and achieve their goals. My teaching method is tailored to the individual student: I aim to ensure that any difficulties the student is facing with regards to the subject or topic are overcome, and that we are able to have meaningful discussion and debate on the issues to promote critical thinking. It is important to me that lessons are engaging and crafted for each student’s needs and aims in order to help them achieve their potential. We can discuss this before the first session so that it can be as productive as possible. During sessions, we can work on material provided by the student's school, or extra material not directly covered by the syllabus to strengthen their skill set more generally. For admissions, we can do mock interviews, and also practise entrance examinations, such as the LNAT for Law. Through this approach I have seen great results tutoring and mentoring students thus far, both for examinations and university admissions, having almost two years of experience. Perfect! Miss Sidal seems to be a very hard-working teacher, she does a lot of work before coming to the lesson, during my first lesson she prepared sets of TSA exams for Oxford prep. She is also very meticulous with her teaching, making sure that she clarifies everything before moving on. Her lessons are also flexible in nature, altering her lessons to my needs makes her teaching more efficient.
