About Clare
I’m an English Tutor with a Cambridge Certificate in TEFL and a Degree in English Language. I’m originally from Oxford where I did my teacher training. I have taught Business and Conversational English around the world to all levels and ages and I currently specialise in moving intermediate adults to advanced. I’ve also taught for over 20 years in Adult Education, specifically for birth and parenting.
I aim to create a space where students feel comfortable to speak as much as possible by using a variety of resources and techniques including light-hearted games and in depth articles.
I’m particularly experienced at supporting people who identify as neurodiverse. My interests include writing, yoga, board games and travelling.

Do you need to pass an exam, get a job or feel more confident speaking English at work?
My students have achieved goals such as succeeding at job interviews, passing IGCSE, TOEIC and IELTS, starting University courses in English and moving to English-speaking countries for work. One student recently gained the confidence to not only speak at conferences but chair them.
My super-power is building students' confidence to speak English by creating a space that is warm and friendly and giving regular, gentle feedback. Students tell me that they quickly become more comfortable speaking English. As a learner of French, Spanish and Italian I know how important it is to feel that progress is being made, so I create a personalised Course Plan for each student.
My lessons will suit you if you want to overcome any anxiety speaking English whether in meetings, negotiations or presentations or simply for travel. I have a wealth of resources including the ebooks Business Partner and Roadmap.
