About Ava

I have been tutoring for the past three years, helping students in English Language and Literature, with a particular focus on developing analysis skills of poetry as well as essay writing technique. Having achieved A*s at IGCSE and A-Level for both Language and Literature, I have a good understanding of exam formatting and how to achieve top grades.

About the lesson

I tend to approach all teaching in a relaxed, conversational way, putting the emphasis on understanding as opposed to memorisation. It is very important to me that students feel comfortable and free to express ideas without judgement, and that they have fun along the way!
