About Rebecca
I am very passionate about enabling all my students to reach their full potential. I believe everyone has the ability to excel in the sciences it just takes an approach that works for the student. This can vary from making the lessons fun and engaging to talking through and focusing on tackling a complex topic.
I am experienced in distilling complex scientific processes and methods into accessible teaching so my students come away with a good understanding of the subject.
My teaching is focused on grasping a good understanding which I find is the priority when trying to improve attainment in science, rather than rote memorisation which I find really limits the potential of a student.

My lessons are tailored to each student and their priorities.
I work with my students to target the areas they feel are most important to focus on. This usually involves agreeing on the focus of the lesson in advance so we both come prepared, ready to address the area of concern, but may also include questions or queries that come up and are more urgent or important to the student.
My lessons are typically 45 minutes long and I have a flexible schedule so can usually find availability within the week at some point.
