About Xander
As an Interaction Designer and Researcher, I am trained to solve complex problems through a ‘human-centred’ lens. I bring this exact methodology into my teaching:
My research background has made me an expert in active listening and observation. I carefully track every bit of your progress and provide gentle, supportive guidance the moment you hit a roadblock.
A designer’s soul thrives on engagement. I refuse to let lessons be dull! By integrating pop culture and real-life anecdotes into our curriculum, I ensure that every Chinese sentence you learn is immediately applicable to the real world.
Even if you are starting from absolute zero, I will guide you through the basics using the most intuitive and visual methods possible."

My Teaching Style is
• Relaxed & Encouraging: I strive to create a comfortable, low-pressure environment where you feel confident to speak up and make progress.
• Structured & Logical: With a researcher’s mindset, I organise lesson content clearly to ensure a balanced development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• User-Centred Customisation: Just like designing a user experience, I tailor my curriculum based on your specific level, interests, and goals.
• Practical & Conversational: We focus on real-life expressions and high-frequency vocabulary, learn it today, use it today!
