About Steven
Hi, my name is Steven. I am a professional language tutor and interpreter with a master’s degree in Translation and Interpreting, and over 10 years of experience teaching Mandarin to learners of all ages. Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of roles—including translation, tour guiding, and hosting radio shows—which has given me a deep understanding of China’s regional language habits, customs, and modern culture.
What sets me apart is my ability to combine academic expertise with real-world experience. I don’t just teach Mandarin; I help students understand how the language is used in everyday life, business, and social situations, so they can truly connect with Chinese culture. I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident and motivated.
