About Olivia

Hey!! I’m Olivia, a super duper passionate Computer Science student with a genuine interest in helping others understand and enjoy the subject.

I am currently working at Grades 8–9 in my GCSE subjects, with Computer Science being one of my strongest and favourite subjects. I particularly enjoy programming, problem-solving and understanding how technology works, and I love the feeling of finally making a difficult topic click.

As I’m 16 myself, I remember very clearly what it feels like to be a student learning these topics for the first time. I know that sometimes a concept can seem unnecessarily complicated simply because it hasn’t been explained in the right way. I want my lessons to be different: relaxed, encouraging and completely focused on helping each student understand things at their own pace.

Although I am very new to formal tutoring, I take teaching seriously and prepare carefully for each lesson. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and saying when they do not understand something. My goal is not just to help students achieve better grades, but to help them become more confident and independent in Computer Science.

Whether you are struggling with a particular topic, preparing for an exam, or aiming for those top grades, I would love to help!

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is friendly, patient and focused on making Computer Science genuinely easy to understand. As I am 16 myself and currently studying at GCSE level, I understand what students find difficult and can explain topics in a way that feels much more relatable than simply reading from a textbook.

I focus on understanding rather than memorising. I break difficult concepts into smaller steps, use simple real-world examples, and encourage students to explain ideas back to me so I can make sure they genuinely understand them. I can also help with exam technique, programming, problem-solving and working through practice questions.

Lessons are typically 1 hour long, although I am happy to adapt this depending on the student's age, concentration and needs.

I am a high-achieving Computer Science student consistently working at Grades 8–9. Although I am new to formal tutoring, I have a strong understanding of the GCSE Computer Science curriculum and enjoy helping other students understand topics they are struggling with.

My lessons are primarily aimed at KS3 and GCSE students, roughly ages 11–16, whether they are completely new to a topic, looking to improve their confidence, or aiming for the highest grades. I want lessons to feel relaxed and encouraging while still being focused and productive.
