About Taylor
I’m a Ph.D. candidate in Organic Chemistry at UW and have four years of tutoring experience in Seattle. As a former research assistant in green chemistry labs, I honed my ability to transform complex reaction pathways into clear, intuitive lessons. I hold an ACS Certified Laboratory Technician credential and am available weekday mornings and weekend sessions. Outside tutoring, I volunteer at community sustainability fairs, leading interactive demos that showcase eco-friendly chemical processes.

My Chemistry sessions blend general principles—atomic/molecular theory, stoichiometry, periodic trends—with advanced Organic Chemistry (reaction mechanisms, stereochemical analysis, NMR interpretation) and Environmental Chemistry applications (pollutant remediation, sustainable catalysis). We use virtual lab simulations (ChemCollective) and 3D modeling (Avogadro) to visualize reaction kinetics and environmental fate. Practice problem sets emulate AP, SAT II, and first-year college exam formats, followed by thorough conceptual debriefs that link each chemical principle to real-world sustainability challenges.
