About Algirdas
- I am a professional singer who has been performing for 20 years. - My repertoire is very diverse - from early music till contemporary. I perform in operas, operettas, musicals, oratorios, cantatas, also give solo concerts and sing in various musical concerts and performances. - My teaching experience is 15 years in classical, musical, rock and pop styles both private and in the college (Musical Theatre study program). - Among my former students are professional singers, choir singers, actors, presenters and amateurs. I actually live in Lithuania, in Vilnius, so my time zone is GMT+3. Please keep it in mind. I had to write Chicago in my profile, because superprof requires to show a USA address. That means that for me the most suitable times for the lessons are 9, 10 or 11 h CST time.

- My teaching method is based on the strong breath technique, diaphragmatic support, body freedom, open throat, which produces a strong, even sound with natural timbre and wide voice range. - The emphasis goes on the correct passaggio formation for male voices and smooth transition between the breath and head voice for female voices. - A typical lesson is divided into two parts - one for the breath and vocal technique (exercises, scales, vocalizes), and the second one - singing of the vocal pieces (songs, arias, etc.). - I've seen a lot of singers who struggle because of the body tension, incorrect breath, wrong passaggio formation, unsuitable repertoire and other difficulties. I've gone through it all by myself and by my own experience know well how to overcome those difficulties and problems. - My lessons are for those, who want to sing regardless of the age, experience, sex, voice type, vocal style.
