About Charlotte

I’m Charlotte, a highly specialised UK-based online 11+ Tutor teaching English, Maths, Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning. I am also a qualified Primary Teacher with over ten years’ experience in both state and independent schools. I hold a degree from Durham University, and as a parent myself, I bring a unique blend of professional expertise and genuine empathy to my work.

I specialise in helping children aged 7-11 (Years 3 to 6), particularly those from families in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia, successfully prepare for entrance to suitable UK independent schools where they are guaranteed to thrive.

Crucially, I am available during UK daytime hours, which perfectly matches after-school hours in Asia (Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, and Malaysia Time: GMT+8).

About the lesson

I offer more than just standard tutoring. My signature 11+ Launchpad Method focuses on the unique transition challenges of international applicants:

Academics: I encourage starting tutoring early (Year 3/4) to master Maths, English, VR, and NVR in a low-pressure way that avoids the stress and burnout of cramming. Parents can choose which subjects to take in order to meet the needs of their child.

Confidence & Future Skills: I embed vital soft skills—resilience, critical thinking, independence, collaboration and communication skills into every academic lesson, ensuring your child is emotionally ready to find success at their best-fit UK school.

I believe every learner deserves to feel safe, capable, and confident. I tailor each 50-minute session to build their self-belief and academic progress step-by-step.
