About Matilde

I trained and obtained my certificate for teaching Spanish as a foreign language in CLIC International House Sevilla, approved by the Instituto Cervantes, a year ago. Right after getting qualified, I started to teach Spanish face-to-face and online in a language school in Istanbul (both individual and group lessons), which I have been doing for a year. Before getting qualified, I already had extense experience helping foreigners to learn my language.
I have had and still have students from different backgrounds (age, procedence, levels, interests, ...) so I am used to get adapted to the learning style of each student.
Before being a teacher I also worked as a nurse in England and Spain, so if you are a medic and need to learn specific health/ hospital vocabulary, I am your perfect teacher!
For students that would like their teacher to know their native language: I am fluent in English, and I also speak basic Italian and Turkish.

About the lesson

My teaching method follows the Instituto Cervantes guidelines (the most important regulators for Spanish teaching among the world). I use a combination of activities, audios, videos, texts, conversations, etc. to cover all the neccesary aspects of learning the language. The key of my lessons is making a programme where students interact among them (or with me, in the case of individual lessons). Communication is vital in my classes. I choose relevant and interesting topics for oral practice but also focusing in some specific grammer required for that topic. With this method, you learn grammer in an easier and more fun way with a communicative objective.
I take into consideration the students needs and preferences. Why are you studying Spanish? Do you want to travel in Spanish speaking countries? You need it for your job? You are living or want to move to a Spanish speaking country and you want to improve your level? You want to cook Spanish recipes or understand songs? Which ever your reason is, I will make sure we fullfill it!

If you want to learn Spanish sharing the same class with your friends, we can create a group with all of you (maximum 10 students).
