About Paul
Hi, I’m Paul, a Canadian math tutor with over 10 years of experience teaching students from elementary school through advanced and competition-level math. I help students strengthen their problem-solving skills, build confidence, and develop a deep understanding of math concepts through personalized, structured lessons tailored to their learning style and academic goals.
I hold a Master of Finance from the Schulich School of Business and specialize in making challenging math topics easier to understand while helping students improve their performance in school and on exams.

My lessons are designed to help students build confidence, strengthen their understanding of math concepts, and develop strong problem-solving skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
I teach elementary and high school math to students of all levels — from those who are struggling and need extra support to advanced students preparing for exams or competition-level math. I tailor every lesson to each student’s learning style, pace, and goals.
I use a patient and structured teaching approach inspired by the Singapore Math method, which focuses on developing deep conceptual understanding rather than simple memorization. I help students break down difficult problems step-by-step so they can truly understand the “why” behind the math.
Lessons typically last 50–60 minutes and include guided practice, interactive problem solving, and review of key concepts. I also encourage students to ask questions and think critically so they become more independent and confident learners over time.
Whether your child wants to improve grades, prepare for exams, strengthen foundational skills, or excel in advanced math, my goal is to make math clearer, less stressful, and even enjoyable to learn.
