About Fate

About Me: My name is Fate and I'm a games programmer. At 24 I am not too disconnected from my youth, and as a woman I may be less intimidating to talk to if you are a girl who is interested in programming (but I am open to teaching any gender). Experience: I have completed a Bachelor's degree in Games Programming using Unity and have since worked in industry using Unreal. I have worked in groups with Games Designers and Artists to create 2D, 3D, RPG, FPS, and adventure games and have individually worked on VR games. What I can Teach You: I can create lesson plans for beginner programmers or help with college/university assignments in C# and C++. With industry experience I can teach you some project methodologies to keep you organised. I have linked a video of a VR Escape Room demonstration game that I made in Unity in 2022. About the lesson

Medium/Software: - Online Discord Call with Screensharing - Unity 2D/3D - Unreal Engine 5 - Visual Studio - Project Planning Methodology Lesson Length: Between 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on your needs. Teaching Experience: I have not taught before so the first lesson is complimentary/free - this will hopefully give you peace of mind. I have completed the Learning and Teaching in Higher Education course so I understand different styles of teaching. Age/Difficulty: My aim is to provide lesson plans for beginner and entry level programming in Unity or Unreal, but I could also help with assignments for college or university. Beginner Lesson Plan: We will start at creating a 2D platformer in Unity or a 3D game in Unreal. Lessons can be tailored to your interests and game preferences. College/University: As mentioned I can help with assignments or good programming practices, and I can teach project cycle methodologies that are used in industry such as Waterfall with KANBAN and Gantt charts.
