About Giovanni

Giovanni Pozos was born on January 21, 1992 in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico. His musical career began in 2009. Playing in a self-taught way, he formed his first band "Los Perderos", with which he began his first live performances. Later, he would formalize his studies after studying for several years at the Center for Jazz Studies of the Veracruzana University, where he had the opportunity to learn and reinforce his musical knowledge at the hands of high-level teachers and musicians. He has attended seminars given by musicians such as: Kurt Rosenwinkel, Lee Ritenour, Gary Bartz, Bob Moses, McCoy Tyner, and Osmany Paredes, to name a few. He has participated in a remarkable number of musical projects as a guitarist, composer, lyricist and arranger; and he has merged music with other arts and disciplines such as poetry or cinema. One of his most outstanding works has been with his band "for dummies", with which he had the opportunity to tour throughout Mexico and different countries such as: Colombia, Ecuador, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary, etc. Throughout the group's existence he played alongside important bands on the national and international scene such as: Totorro, Mylets, Caspian, TTNG, Catherine Baseball, DJ Perro, Delta Sleep, Cardiel, The Zeta to name a few. .

About the lesson

I always seek to adapt to the needs of each person. I try to keep the classes dynamic and mainly that you have fun in the process, incorporating theory as well as practice. The class is personalized and works to build, strengthen and solve your needs, whether you want to play and / or sing in front of your family and friends, record an album or enter a professional school. I will be extremely happy to put my knowledge at your disposal.
