About Jacopo

I am a language instructor with 5+ years of experience. I have been teaching foreign languages to pre-adolescents, teenagers, and adults since 2016.

As a translator and interpreter, I have worked in diverse areas such as literary studies, economics, marketing, public policy, and human rights. This wide range of interests allows me to adapt to my students' different backgrounds, which often translates into different motivations as to why they decide to learn Italian.

P.S. On an unprofessional note, I love puns. Witnessing my students improve from not speaking a word in Italian to making jokes - however terrible - is one of the greatest pleasures I get to experience! Can't wait to hear yours too!

About the lesson

Whether you are an absolute beginner or an advanced learner, I tailor my classes around your needs with the same passion and enthusiasm!

At an early stage, my method involves proactive language stimulation and elicits students to develop a practical knowledge of the language, thus favoring the ability to speak and understand the language instead of focusing solely on its grammar and phonetics.

For students who have advanced knowledge of Italian, I tend to devise classes that aim to refine their skills and improve their understanding of the language from a structural point of view (ie grammar and syntax).

Do you need Italian for professional reasons? In the past, I have had numerous students who decided to learn Italian to improve their careers. If you wish to do the same, I'm confident my Business Italian course will be of help!

Ultimately, learning a foreign language should be fun, which is why sometimes I prepare "theme" classes for my students...
