About Aisling

I’m a final-year Law and French student at Maynooth University, where I am predicted to graduate with a first-class honors degree. I achieved a H1 in Leaving Cert French and have developed a strong passion for the language throughout my studies. As someone who has been through the Junior and Leaving Cert system, I understand how challenging exams can feel, and I know the techniques that really help. I am organized, patient, and approachable, and I always aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as they improve. I understand the pressure students face and aim to support them while building on the invaluable skill of acquiring a language which will serve them in both education and in life itself. My goal is to help students not only achieve the grades they want, but also build lasting confidence in their French.

About the lesson

I like to keep my lessons supportive and encouraging, helping students build confidence as well as skills in French. I adapt each class to the student’s needs — whether that’s practising oral French, strengthening grammar, expanding vocabulary, or focusing on exam strategies. I aim to make lessons engaging and approachable so students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.

Lesson Structure:
Most lessons are 1 hour long. I usually start with a short recap, then work on specific topics or challenges the student is facing. I finish with some practical exercises or oral practice so that students can apply what they’ve learned straight away.

Experience & Qualifications:
I’m a final-year Law and French student in Maynooth University and am predicted to graduate with a first-class honours degree. I achieved a H1 in Leaving Cert French myself, and I have previously lived in France for Erasmus.

Who My Lessons Are For:
I work with all levels — from Junior Cert students who are building their foundation in French, to Leaving Cert students aiming for higher grades. My goal is to make sure every student feels more confident and prepared going into their exams.
