About Sophie

My love of language developed while studying my Bachelor of Linguistics at the University of Sydney and researching Australia’s rich and vibrant indigenous languages. I completed my Masters at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School before becoming a speech coach at The London Speech Workshop. I am currently using my design experience to work towards developing a digital accent reduction application.

I am also a professional actor and have toured theatres across the world and worked with professional dialect coaches on film sets in Vancouver. My favorite part of teaching positive communication and clear speech is seeing clients grow into confident and inspiring storytellers. They become that person you can't help but listen to.

About the lesson

My job is to help you consciously identify and strengthen your professional voice. Being in control of how you communicate, means you are in control of how the world responds to you. You can dramatically maximize your efficiency by changing voice habits. For some people that will mean accent softening, for others it will mean adding rhythm and intonation.

I deliver one on one coaching with a full voice profile and action plan. The profile outlines your unique voice pattern and areas where miscommunication can occur. The action plan outlines how the course will change those habits using workbook exercises, guided listening, personal recording and mentored review. Knowing your voice profile and following a plan to change means that you can achieve your ideal professional voice.

Perfect! I genuinely didn't want to put a review here, as I’m not much of a fan to share the valuable gems of my life. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have held any valuable gems . But Sophie is an exception. Her love of the English language is unending. It’s enough to get spread around so that everyone can enjoy. I’m sure whoever who is serious about learning, will find Sophie, a beam of light that will cut through the night of undiscovered.
