About Sherjeel

I am a passionate mathematics student currently preparing for selection in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) team. My journey in mathematics has been driven by curiosity, logical reasoning, and a deep appreciation for problem-solving. I have participated in various mathematical Olympiads and competitions, which have strengthened my understanding of both fundamental and advanced concepts. Through teaching, I aim to share this passion by helping students develop a clear conceptual understanding of mathematics — not just memorising formulas, but truly grasping how and why they work. I focus on building confidence, analytical thinking, and exam excellence for GCSE, A-Level, and Olympiad-level students.

About the lesson

As a mathematics student preparing for the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), I provide in-depth and concept-focused tutoring designed to help students understand the why behind every formula. My lessons are tailored to the individual pace and goals of each learner, whether the aim is to improve school performance, excel in exams, or explore mathematics beyond the syllabus. I teach the following core areas: Algebra: Expressions, equations, inequalities, sequences, and functions Geometry & Trigonometry: Angles, proofs, coordinate geometry, and trigonometric identities Calculus: Limits, derivatives, integration, and applications in real-world and Olympiad problems Number Theory: Divisibility, modular arithmetic, primes, and Diophantine equations Statistics & Probability: Data interpretation, distributions, and combinatorics Problem Solving: Logical reasoning, mathematical proofs, and Olympiad-style thinking Each session includes step-by-step explanations, practical examples, and guided problem-solving to ensure mastery of concepts and confidence in exams. I believe mathematics is not just about numbers but about patterns, logic, and creativity — and I aim to make each lesson engaging, rigorous, and rewarding.
