About Taylor
Hi! I’m Taylor, a Master of Teaching student at OISE (University of Toronto) with classroom teaching experience. I’ve planned and taught lessons based on the Ontario curriculum, and I really enjoy helping students work through concepts in a way that feels clear and manageable.
I’m easy to talk to and try to create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions and figuring things out without pressure. I’m also very organized and reliable, and I genuinely care about helping students feel more confident in their learning.

My approach as a tutor is really about meeting students where they’re at. I know math can feel overwhelming, so I focus on breaking things down in a way that actually makes sense and feels manageable. I like to walk through examples together, then give students a chance to try on their own while I support them.
A typical session might look like reviewing what they’re working on in class, going over anything that’s confusing, and then practicing similar problems to build confidence. I try to keep things low-pressure and supportive so students feel comfortable asking questions.
I’m currently a Master of Teaching student at OISE and have experience teaching Grade 7/8 math in the classroom, so I’m familiar with the Ontario curriculum and expectations.
My sessions are best for students in Grades 6–10 who want help with homework, test prep, or just feeling more confident in math.
