An art teacher with over a decade of professional painting experience, she actively produces murals and artworks ranging from pet portraits to live paintings at weddings. She refined her talents by completing her Bachelor in Fine Arts with honours at Concordia University in 2018. Her intense love for animals and the natural world, which is often the subject of her paintings, stems from her childhood passion for horses. They remain the driving force of her personal and artistic endeavours to this day.

About the lesson

I completed my Bachelor in Fine Arts with honours at Concordia University in 2018. And have been fortunate to be able to make a living from my art selling commissioned works and painting custom clothing. My personal work is usually very figurative, involving human or animal form. I also love exploring different subject matters and simply have a need to create. I am constantly evolving as an artist and I am always excited as to where my path will continue to take me.
Additionally, I worked 8 years as a Specialized Educator for the English Montreal School Board and therefore have the benefit of knowing how to teach and connect with students in a way that speaks to them.
In this course, I will teach you how to understand line, shape, and shadow through basic drawing concepts and exercises. Afterwards, I will guide you through colour mixing and finally a fully accomplished oil painting!
