About Rebecca
I am currently a student with The Open University, studying BA (Hons) Criminology, however, I previously studied Primary Education and worked in a primary school with year 4 and year 5. Throughout my work in school, I helped children, including those with special educational needs, with maths and English studies. I currently have a younger brother who is in year six, this helps me make sure I am helping children at the correct level and I’m going through the correct topics at the right pace. I also have the materials from his school to help me ensure I’m using relevant questions that level the children can understand.

I provide lessons to primary school children to help them improve their confidence when completing a range of maths problems. I structure my lessons by starting with multiple topics to see where the child is up to and their knowledge so far. Moving on from this, I can then determine a child’s strengths and areas of improvement and can plan lessons to accommodate their needs. I make lessons fun and creative which allows the child to engage more as they’re interacting with the lesson. Before tutoring your child, I am more than happy for a 1 to 1 phone call with parents so you are free to ask any questions and raise any concerns.
