About Elisa
I graduated from the University of Durham in 2015 with a 2.1 in Modern Languages (Italian and Spanish). I studied Spanish literature and history as well as the language itself. As part of my university degree I lived in Madrid for one year where I embraced the Spanish culture and perfected my conversational skills.
I keep up to date with Spanish TV hits - my most recent binges include La Casa De Papel (Money Heist), Vivir Sin Permiso and Vis a Vis.
As well as tutoring, I am an ACA qualified chartered accountant.
In my spare time I love to play hockey, having previously enjoyed an international career. I am a qualified hockey coach; I regularly coach young players and therefore have experience in leading sessions and motivating talented youngsters.

My lessons are bespoke to each student’s needs but cover all aspects of the language: speaking, writing, reading and listening. I look to build real relationships with my students; I try to understand their interests and I create relevant and inspiring lessons using excellent resources. I look to give my students the confidence they need to excel.
I understand exactly what is required to become a confident Spanish speaker and therefore I will also offer guidance on what has worked well for me over the last few years.
I am very comfortable using online tools such as Zoom, FaceTime and Skype in order to deliver online classes to my students.
