About Isabelle
I’m a 20 year old BSc (Hons) graduate from Surrey, I studied at Oxford Brookes and have now relocated to Manchester for my masters degree. I can’t lie, I wasn’t the best behaved at school. I know what it is like to struggle with grasping concepts. During my GCSE’s I had extra help which set me up for independent learning in my alevels. Now, I am about to become a master of clinical biochemistry! I would really like to give people the same help and drive I had which lead me to the best career path I could’ve hoped for. Additionally, helping give young women’s the confidence to go into a career in STEM is super important to me as it is the best thing I have ever done, and I know it can be for someone else.

I take a chilled approach using visual methods to help my students understand the topic fully before delving into deeper knowledge. It is important to me to take it at their pace and not put too much pressure on them as I am aware this can be overwhelming. As well as the topic in question, I believe it is important to study exam techniques as this can elevate graded without further knowledge. I pre plan all tutoring lessons by first deciphering the specific topics my students struggle with to teach them effectively. But most importantly I make it fun! STEM is incredible and I love to remove the boring stigma from it, as a career in STEM can lead to incredible things.
