About Torianne
Torianne graduated from NYU Steinhardt's Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance with a concentration in Musical Theatre. She cross-trained in Classical and Contemporary styles. Her love of voice has carried into new musical development work, including a workshop with James Lapine, Alan Menken, Nell Benjamin, and Sarah Kernochan on "Nancy Drew and the Mystery at Spotlight Manor". She later made her Off-Broadway debut in The Opening at The Players Theatre. She has also performed in many Green Room 42 shows. All of these performance opportunities required strong vocal technique in various styles, an understanding of the voice as an instrument, and a calm mindset.
Torianne is passionate about helping others find their artistry, learning process, and, most importantly, their voice.

As a student of voice the most important thing I have learned is that singing is a skill - not a talent. Once the voice is organized anyone can sing in any style (and you may not believe me, but I started at NYU not even being able to Mix and now I am able to belt up to G5 and whistle unto Eb6) This was possible because of the classes I took at NYU such as voice pedagogy, song analysis/performance classes, and music theory/aural skills. Through these skills I have worked off-Broadway and all over NYC and I love to share this knowledge with others. I believe in a holistic approach to the voice that means getting the voice organized through vocal exercises and then transferring those skills into repertoire. I want to help you achieve healthy sustainable singing (that of course is fun). And most importantly, I believe the student knows best because they are the only one in their body. I can give feedback on what I see and hear, but only you can tell me how it feels. So let’s figure out how to make singing feel good for you!
