About Anneliese

Hi! I’m a graduate of NYU with a B.A. in Psychology and a strong foundation in research, neurodevelopment, and quantitative methods. I bring not only deep subject knowledge but also a calm, patient, and encouraging presence to every tutoring session. My goal is to help students feel capable, supported, and genuinely engaged with the material—especially when it comes to math, a subject that can often feel intimidating. I believe learning is most effective when students feel understood and respected, and I tailor my teaching to meet each student where they are. With experience in both academic research and cognitive science, I use proven strategies to support memory, understanding, and confidence. Students can expect a professional, structured approach that includes thoughtful lesson planning, clear communication, and a sincere commitment to their progress. I pride myself on creating a safe, judgment-free space where students feel empowered to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. About the lesson

My teaching method blends evidence-based learning strategies with a fun, engaging approach! With a background in psychology and neurodevelopment, I tailor each session to how the student learns best—incorporating visual aids, interactive examples, and memory techniques like spaced repetition and active recall. A typical lesson includes a review, clear instruction with guided practice, and techniques to boost confidence and long-term retention.

What sets me apart is my ability to make STEM less intimidating and more approachable. I bring energy, creativity, and humor to each session, creating a positive space where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. I tutor middle school through early college level courses, including algebra, statistics, and quantitative reasoning as well as biology and other natural sciences. Whether students are struggling or looking to get ahead, I help them connect with the material in a way that makes sense—and even makes it fun.
