About Angelia

Struggling with nursing exams even though you feel like you know the material? I help nursing students learn how to break down difficult concepts, recognize important cues, answer NCLEX/ATI-style questions, and understand what the question is actually asking.

I am a Registered Nurse, BSN, and nursing instructor with experience teaching nursing students in the classroom, skills lab, and clinical setting. My clinical background includes medical-surgical nursing, telemetry, oncology, orthopedics, emergency department holds, PCU/stepdown care, and travel nursing.

Because I have experience both at the bedside and in the classroom, I can help you connect what you learn in your textbook to how nurses actually think and make decisions in clinical practice.

My focus is not simply giving you more information to memorize. I teach you how to recognize patterns, identify priority cues, eliminate distractors, apply ABCs/safety/delegation principles, and work through questions step-by-step.

Whether you're struggling in a course, preparing for an upcoming exam, or simply want to become stronger at answering nursing questions, our sessions will focus on the areas where you need the most help.

About the lesson

My goal is for you to leave the session understanding not only what the correct answer is, but why it is correct and why the other choices are wrong.

Every tutoring session is customized around what you are currently learning in nursing school.

You can bring your lecture objectives, PowerPoints, study guide, textbook topics, or areas you are struggling with. We will identify the concepts you need to understand and then work through them in a way that makes them easier to remember and apply.

During our sessions, I may use:

• Easy-to-understand explanations of difficult nursing concepts
• NCLEX/ATI-style practice questions
• Step-by-step question breakdowns
• Priority and delegation exercises
• Clinical scenarios
• Dosage calculation practice
• Concept maps and disease-process comparisons
• Exam/test-taking strategies

I especially focus on helping students recognize question clues and patterns—what findings should immediately get your attention, what information is a distractor, what is expected versus unexpected, and what the nurse should do first, best, or next.
