About Svadhaa

Hi, I am Svadhaa Agarwal, originally from India, now based in Singapore, and genuinely excited to be here doing what I love.

My journey with Mathematics and Statistics was never about being the smartest person in the room. It started simply: I was the friend people came to when something did not make sense. Whether it was a classmate stuck on a tricky algebra problem or a peer panicking before an exam, I found that I had a knack for breaking things down in a way that made the penny drop. That quiet satisfaction of watching someone go from frustrated to confident stayed with me, and it still does.

I hold an MSc in Business Analytics from NTU and a BSc degree in Statistics. Outside of academics, I am deeply curious. I spend a lot of my time exploring AI and technology, diving into research, and finding patterns in how the world works. That same analytical mindset is what I bring into every tutoring session: a genuine love for figuring things out, and the patience to work through it together.

When I am not at my desk, you will find me dancing, watching films, or down a rabbit hole building something new. I like to think that range makes me a more relatable tutor, someone who gets that students have full lives beyond their textbooks, and that learning works best when it does not feel like a burden.

I am empathetic, patient, and a firm believer that every student is capable and that they just need someone who explains things in the right way, at the right pace, without judgment.

That is exactly the kind of tutor I aim to be.

About the lesson

I offer one-hour online tutoring sessions in Mathematics and Statistics, tailored for secondary and pre-university students preparing for O-Levels and A-Levels.

Having just completed my MSc in Business Analytics from NTU, on top of a Bachelor's in Statistics, I know exactly what it feels like to sit where my students sit. Not long ago, I was navigating the same syllabuses, the same exam pressure and the same moments of self-doubt. That lived experience shapes everything about how I teach.

From helping classmates through tough problem sets to working patiently with children at NGOs, I have always found my way to the role of the friend who also happens to explain things well. I do not just teach, I listen, I adapt and I meet each student where they are. For students who have convinced themselves that they are "not a math person", that kind of empathy makes all the difference.

I genuinely love Mathematics and Statistics. To me, numbers are not intimidating but they are a puzzle, and every student deserves to feel that spark of satisfaction when a concept finally clicks. My lessons focus on building real understanding over rote memorization, connecting theory to real-world relevance so that the subject feels meaningful, not mechanical.

I will always show up as both a teacher and an ally — patient, honest, and fully invested in every student's growth.
