About Punya
Hi! I'm Punya, a student at NTU studying data science and AI. I have scored IB(42/45) and SAT(1560). I've always loved math, science, and coding, and I've spent time mentoring younger students in robotics, so I know how to explain tricky stuff in a way that actually makes sense. I'm patient, easygoing, and genuinely enjoy watching things click for someone. Looking forward to working with you!

I teach coding by building things. Beginners and younger students start with Python or Scratch through small games and puzzles, learning variables, loops, conditions and functions along the way. Older students cover data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming in Java, and exam preparation for IB Computer Science and A-Level or O-Level Computing, including pseudocode and tracing questions. I can also mentor students on personal projects and introductory machine learning. I use guiding questions so you learn to debug and reason on your own rather than copy code. Lessons are online with screen sharing, usually 1 hour and up to 1.5 hours. I study Data Science and AI at NTU, took Computer Science HL in the IB, interned as a backend developer, and led the programming team for a FIRST Robotics Competition team.

I’ve known Punya since 5th grade, and he’s been my go-to person for everything academic ever since. Back in IGCSE and IB, whenever I was stuck or needed clear notes, Punya was always the first person I reached out to.
If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have achieved my 44 in the IBDP.
Right before exams, he explained complex topics faster and way clearer than our teachers ever did. Moreover, he is super patient and creates a judgment-free space to ask any question, and constantly gives you the confidence to succeed.
I highly recommend learning with Punya!
