About Emma
Even though I am young I have tutored kids K-4 for almost 4 years now coming up in Fall 2024. I have tutored many kids with different struggles. I work with children in summer camps and have run book clubs for children in 4th grade before and they really enjoyed it! I have also student taught in a high school program for a special education classroom and a deaf and hard of hearing classroom as well. I love working with kids and seeing them succeed! I’m also currently studying to be an elementary education teacher at Illinois State University and will be getting a reading endorsement too!

I like to connect the skills we are learning with topics kids are interested in to make sure they have fun and understand what we are working on. I work best with kids PK-4 specifically with math, reading and writing. I also have lots of experience with children with disabilities, specifically learning disabilities and autism. I love seeing the children grow and get excited to learn. The best feeling is when children have been struggling with a topic then later understand and get happy for themselves!
