I like to focus on weaknesses and turn them into strengths. This goes for a lot of subjects but specifically for math continuous practice and problem solving tends to strengthen one's skills. A typical lesson plan starts off by explaining how to solve a specific problem and the reasoning behind it. After that, I let the student be the "teacher" and start explaining it to me. I work with the student and tend to understand how to get knowledge across. I had a hard time learning as a kid due to having ADHD so I understand the struggles kids go through and how to connect with them on a personal level. It bridges the gap between student and teacher which allows for more knowledge to be absorbed. I can teach any age up until college level.
