About Nahum

Since 2010, I have taught piano to students of all ages and abilities. I have a Master's degree in Composition for Screen from the Royal College of Music in the UK, and a Diploma in Piano Performance (DipABRSM). Before my time at RCM, I studied at Chetham's, the Purcell School, and (when I was VERY small!) Guildhall Juniors. In my career as a musician, I've always understood that the production-line method of one teacher having all 20 pupils play the same pieces day in and day out doesn't work. I put joy and passion into my teaching. ADULTS WELCOME TOO! Who says learning a musical instrument is only for kids? [2025/26 BOOKINGS NOW OPEN] Sick of being made to play grade-by-grade, even when it isn't working for you? Try my fresh approach to music - with energy and encouragement, you go beyond the note-by-note and explore the journey behind the music. Learn how to not only play the pieces but understand them and discover your unique performance style. Above all, playing the piano should be a pleasure, not a chore. I work hard to inspire students and ensure they finish every lesson learning something new about the music they're playing. For most students, I recommend a starting time of 45 minutes per lesson; from there, we can find what best works for you. So if this sounds like an excellent opportunity to change things up or try something new, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
