About the lesson

Understanding how people learn is essential for effective teaching. As a student and tutor, I have extensively researched and experimented with various studying techniques to identify the most effective methods. Active recall and spaced repetition have proven to be highly successful for myself and my students. By incorporating these techniques alongside an organised calendar and recognising individual motivation and determination, we can achieve optimal results in their studies. Teaching goes beyond simply delivering content. I not only focus on presenting information in an effective manner, ensuring the students' understanding, but also emphasise the importance of establishing and maintaining a consistent study routine. This includes teaching them how to efficiently cover the content and store it in their long-term memory, ultimately enabling them to effectively apply their knowledge during exams.

However, it is crucial to recognise that each individual learns differently. Therefore, I tailor the understanding and revision process to cater specifically to each student's unique learning style and needs. By personalising the learning experience, I can address their strengths and weaknesses, enhancing their comprehension and overall progress. To spark curiosity and make learning enjoyable, I believe in making connections between the subject matter and the real world. By relating topics to practical applications and real-life examples, I not only help students remember the information better, but I also ignite their passion for the subject. When a student develops a genuine interest, they become more motivated to study, resulting in greater progress and a positive learning experience.
