About Sahib
Teaching has been part of my life since 2016, when I began mentoring younger students during my own school years. Since then, I've taught in a range of settings, from delivering full lesson curricula to classes of around 20 international students, to supporting groups of 40–50 children through volunteering, to providing English language tuition to refugees and asylum seekers as a TESOL-trained tutor. This variety has given me the confidence to adapt my teaching style to suit different ages, abilities and learning needs.
Alongside my teaching experience, I've spent time in clinical and community settings, including work experience in a GP surgery and volunteering with Age UK and Noah's Ark Children's Hospice. These experiences have shaped how I communicate: patiently, clearly, and with a genuine focus on making sure students feel comfortable asking questions.
I believe learning works best when students feel supported rather than pressured. My goal in every lesson is to build not just knowledge, but confidence, so that students leave each session understanding a little more and worrying a little less.

I take a personalised, student-led approach to tutoring, adapting my teaching style to how each individual learns best. Drawing on my experience teaching groups ranging from 20 students in international classrooms to 40–50 children in volunteer settings, I know how to keep lessons engaging. My method typically involves breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps, using real-world examples to make abstract concepts (especially in science) click, and checking understanding regularly through questions and short exercises rather than waiting until the end of a lesson to find out something didn't land.
Lessons usually run for 60 minutes, though I'm happy to adjust to 45 or 90 minutes depending on the subject, the student's age, and how they concentrate best.
I bring a strong academic foundation to every lesson — I'm a Neuroscience graduate from King's College London, with hands-on teaching experience dating back to 2016. This includes tutoring GCSE-level Science and Maths, delivering English lessons as a TESOL-trained tutor to refugees and international students, and mentoring younger students through school and university. I've also completed formal teaching roles abroad, planning and delivering full lesson curricula to teenage students.
My lessons are best suited to GCSE-level students (and younger, for general Science, Maths and English support), as well as English language learners of any age looking to build confidence and fluency. I particularly enjoy working with students who feel anxious or unconfident in science subjects, having built strong communication and rapport-building skills through both clinical and community volunteering.
