About Kelley
I bring both strong academic experience and professional teaching experience to every tutoring session. In addition to being a neuroscience graduate student, I previously worked as a tutor at Kumon, where I developed skills in personalized instruction, patience, and helping students build confidence through consistent support and structured learning. I also served as a teaching assistant during my undergraduate studies, giving me experience explaining complex concepts, guiding students through coursework, and supporting a wide range of learning styles in an academic setting.
I pride myself on being dependable, organized, encouraging, and professional. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to adapt my teaching approach to fit each student’s needs and goals. My sessions are designed to be supportive, engaging, and productive, with a focus on helping students not only improve academically but also feel more confident in their abilities. Parents and students can expect clear communication, preparation, and a genuine commitment to student success.

I know firsthand how overwhelming science courses can feel, especially when lectures move quickly or concepts don’t click the first time. My goal is to make difficult material easier to understand by breaking concepts down in a clear, patient, and supportive way. I acknowledge that each student resonates with different styles and I take a tailored approach to lessons for each student. Being that I am actively involved in research, I also help students connect classroom material to real world applications, making learning more engaging and practical. I’m passionate about helping students succeed and believe that with the right support, anyone can improve in STEM subjects.
