About Johnna

Hi! My name is Johnna, and I’m a BSN-RN with 2.5 years of nursing experience across acute care and inpatient settings, including medical-surgical, telemetry, and substance use treatment. I know firsthand how overwhelming nursing school can feel, and I’m passionate about helping students feel more confident, supported, and capable as they work toward becoming nurses.

During nursing school, I personally struggled with the transition to online learning during COVID. At times, I felt overwhelmed and questioned whether I was even in the right field. There were moments when I truly thought I might have to change careers. But with a lot of hard work, persistence, and support, I made it through—and that experience is a big part of why I want to tutor. I know how difficult nursing school can be, and I want to help other students feel less alone in the process, work through challenges more effectively, and see that they can make it through too.

As a tutor, my goal is to make nursing school feel more manageable and less intimidating. I offer individualized support based on each student’s needs, whether that means reviewing med-surg content, breaking down disease processes and medications, practicing NCLEX-style questions, preparing for exams, or strengthening clinical reasoning and study strategies. I love helping students connect what they’re learning in class to real-life nursing practice and build the confidence they need to succeed both academically and clinically.
