About Addie

I attended a dual-language school from Kinder through 8th grade, so I understand the nuances of learning in two languages. English is my home language and I am a fluent and biliterate Spanish speaker. Currently in my junior year of high school, I am taking AP Spanish literature. I have previously taken Spanish for native speakers and earned a 4 on my AP Spanish language exam. I understand the challenges that Spanish learners face, and I know how to explain concepts in clear and simple ways. I can hold full conversations, and help with reading and writing. While I’m especially strong with essays and academic Spanish, I am also able to help with real-world applications and using your Spanish in public. Because I learned Spanish myself, I can guide you step-by-step and help you build confidence in speaking, listening, and understanding the language. My goal is to create a fun and comfortable environment where we can both learn together.

About the lesson

Every time we meet will be centered on what you already know and what you want to learn. Everything will be at a pace that you set and feel comfortable. I want to work with students where they are at. I know how frustrating language apps can be where they just throw vocabulary at you, I want to make sure that our time together is practical and oriented towards your goals and needs.
