About Amin
I’m a first-year electrical engineering student at UC Santa Cruz who has made dean’s honors so far in both of my quarters completed. Being in the STEM field, I’ve had to learn the hard way how to understand difficult concepts. In conjunction with my major, I’ve also learned that lesson from my time in the IB program, where I earned the full diploma while taking the maximum number of IB courses I could, including IB physics SL, IB biology HL, IB chemistry SL, IB math AA HL, IB English HL, and many more.

I teach by example and visually. In general, a lesson plan would look something along the lines of explaining a concept, then providing increasingly difficult examples and working through them with students. As someone who is naturally skeptical when I learn something, I like to encourage an open environment where my students can ask me any question they have, and don’t feel the pressure of getting every question right. I’m a firm believer that sometimes a student must struggle for them to ultimately thrive.
